This cake is a real beauty! The bride and her Mom found us at the Great Bridal Expo in October 2012, and they already knew exactly what they wanted the wedding cake to look like. They found a cake by and wanted it replicated almost exactly.
As always, we sat down for a cake consultation & tasting, and everyone left happy with fully bellies! Here is Jennifer’s completed wedding cake:
There are a few things I love about this wedding. First of all, most of the shells used on the cake and in the wedding decor were collected by the mother of the bride in Sanibel Island. What a great way to add a personal touch!
Second, the bride had a cake topper hand-made to her specifications. It was beautiful and looked amazing on top of the cake.
And the mother of the bride also made the reception centerpieces. They coordinated perfectly with the modest, romantic, beach theme of the wedding.
Just for the sake of comparison, here is the original wedding cake Jennifer fell in love with, made by Sheryl Brousseau:
The cake looked beautiful in place at the Bilmar Beach Resort!
And, while the tables were still being set up when we delivered the cake, here’s a shot of one. Kerry and team does an amazing job at the Bilmar!
Congratulations, Jennifer and Bryan!
Thanks to Melanie for making such a beautiful cake for my daughter, Jenifer’s wedding. I cannot tell you how many times I was asked “who did the cake?” To anyone planning a wedding or any function for that matter, if you need a cake, contact Melanie – she did a fantastic job and you will not be disappointed. She is truly a cake artist!
