One of my daughter’s playmates just turned 1 year old! I can’t believe it! And the worst part about it is that means Mikaela will be turning 1 soon too! No, she’s supposed to be my baby forever! …But, then again, she will have the most awesome 1st birthday cake ever, right?! Let the brainstorming begin!
But, anyway, back to the cake at hand! Bruce just turned 1 with a Mickey Mouse-themed party. What baby doesn’t love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? So the theme was perfect!
The cake was covered in fondant with fondant decorations and a hand-rolled fondant ball border.
But the topper was the best part: it looked like a Mickey Mouse hat you can buy at Disney World! And above that, we made a star spray that spelled his name, B-R-U-C-E. He was the star of the show!
And, since it was a 1st birthday party, we provided a FREE smash cake for Bruce to have a little fun with. His Mom later told us that he was gentle with his smash cake which wasn’t very exciting, but Mom was thrilled because it made for easy clean-up!
