As this post goes live, there are only 65 shopping days left until Christmas! WHAT?! That freaks me out a little! Those of you who have already started shopping – you are my heroes. I don’t know how you can be that organized. Seriously. I’m one of those people who is running to the post office on the last day to ship by Christmas and frantically wrapping gifts on Christmas Eve.
But this year can be different! Probably not for me. But maybe for you! A couple of years ago, I developed a cookie decorating kit that is fully stocked with everything you need to make your holiday cookies beautiful. It’s perfect for family gifts, and I love it because it buys me a few minutes of peace on a busy day.

And last year, I let Mikaela (2 years old at the time) decorate her own cookies for Santa.
I unpacked the Holiday Cookie Decorating Kit and laid it out for her the morning of Christmas Eve.
She was so excited to get started! After all, she sees Mommy working on cakes and cookies all the time. Now, it was her turn!
She was so proud of her work. I didn’t realize how many sprinkles she had been popping into her mouth until I asked her to smile for a picture. What a big sprinkle-y grin!
We let the cookies on the kitchen counter to harden, and then we set the cookies out for Santa that night. Mikaela was quite protective of her cookies, and poor Hailee just wanted to munch on one! “No, baby. These are for Santa!”
Decorating cookies for Santa will be a new family tradition for us. This year Hailee is 1 1/2 years old and will get to help!

If you live in the Tampa area and will be picking up your Kit, pick-ups will be available through Sunday, December 15, 2014.
The kit includes 2 1/2 dozen 3-4″ sugar cookies in your choice of theme (the Christmas Cookie Decorating Kit is pictured, but Thanksgiving would be fun too!), 3-4 colors of cookie icing, a variety of fun & festive sprinkles, and disposable decorating bags & tips. Kits are designed for up to six cookie decorators, but additional supplies & cookies can be added for an additional charge. The price of the kits also includes shipping anywhere in the continental United States, and shipping elsewhere is available for an additional charge.
