Another of my daughter’s friends has turned 1! Jude’s parents are big Beatles fans (hence his name) so they threw him a Yellow Submarine-themed 1st birthday party. How fun and adorable!

Mikaela’s 1st Birthday Party!
We’ve been a little quiet on the blog lately because September and October are big months for us! But right in the middle of September, Mel’s baby girl turned 1 so we have to share a few photos.
We went with a rainbow themed party because color makes Mel happy, and Mikaela isn’t old enough to express any opinions yet. Although, we’re pretty sure she enjoyed herself. *wink*
Here’s the cake table set-up with Mikaela’s personalized birthday banner, cookie favors, goodie bags, and of course the cake!
AJ’s Baseball-Themed 1st Birthday Party
Another friend of my daughter’s turned 1 this weekend! AJ’s parents both coach baseball and softball so AJ has spent much of his young life on the field. And the kid loves to throw! He throws anything and everything. He even pretends to throw when there’s nothing around for him to get his hands on. And he’s got a good arm too!
Anyway, it was only fitting that they throw him a baseball-themed 1st birthday party!
Mickey Mouse 1st Birthday Cake
One of my daughter’s playmates just turned 1 year old! I can’t believe it! And the worst part about it is that means Mikaela will be turning 1 soon too! No, she’s supposed to be my baby forever! …But, then again, she will have the most awesome 1st birthday cake ever, right?! Let the brainstorming begin!
But, anyway, back to the cake at hand! Bruce just turned 1 with a Mickey Mouse-themed party. What baby doesn’t love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? So the theme was perfect!
Whimsical Flower & Zebra Print 1st Birthday Cake
Last weekend, I posted on Facebook a sneak peek of a cake we made for an adorable little girl turning 1!
And now for the great reveal of the rest of the cake….drum roll please…
Melanie sat down with Cristina, the birthday girl’s Mommy, in December to design this cake. The bottom tier was spice cake with cream cheese filling, and the top tier was vanilla cake with cookies ‘n cream cream cheese filling (read that again, that’s a lot to take in). It was Cristina’s idea to combine our cream cheese filling with crushed Oreos for a rich, finger-licking filling!
The cake was decorated with fondant zebra print and whimsical flowers, an edible hot pink bow, and an edible topper. The smash cake was decorated with pink buttercream and black fondant zebra stripes.
Welcome to Eva’s 1st birthday party!
I love when the party planner (Cristina in this case) has a clear vision while she organizes the party and designs the cake. The cake matched the party decor perfectly!
Eva’s high chair of honor read, “I am 1.”
And here’s the cake table! Cristina even gave Eva a practice run with a smash cake for a photo shoot and displayed the photos on the cake table – so cute!
And Cristina was kind enough to email us later to say:
“Thank you so much I loved the cake!!! So did everyone else. It tasted great and looked so beautiful. I will be using you again for my next occasion.”
